This lot consists of a big original 1963 tin Pepsi Cola sign, marked on the bottom \"M-107 Stout Sign Co, St Louis Mo, Made in USA\" and \"P-2-546 3-63\" which indicates that the sign dates from 1963. It is extra large- approx 37” across the back; 34\" across the face; 3 5/8\" deep - and shaped like a bottle cap with a crimped flange all around the edge. The lettering is embossed. Red, ivory and blue, with script lettering “Drink Pepsi-Cola” with “R” in a circle below.
It is in \"as found, as is\" condition, with some paint fading, especially on top surface, some areas of missing paint, plus rust, paint bubbles, scratching, corrosion, wear, weathering, scuffs, dirt, stains, bends, aging, patina, stray paint, etc. Rustic and authentic. *Pepsi-Cola was invented in 1898, trademarked in1903. The logo was changed from an elaborate script to the modern block letters in 1963.

It might interest the buyer to know where this sign came from. It was originally mounted on the storefront of the \"Mercer Market\" aka \"Manny\'s\" at Mercer and Market Streets in the Mill Hill section of Trenton, NJ, until the early 1980s when this building (and many more were) torn down for a road widening. This sign was on top of the Pepsi sign I sold last week ( sale # 151026567631, ending April 21.)
