1963 Original Ink Drawing Storyboard WHO\'S MINDING THE STORE w Jerry Lewis #78

Up for sale are 2 pages of director Frank Tashlin\'s original ink and pencil drawing from his storyboard for the 1963 classic comedy film WHO\'S MINDING THE STORE starring Jerry Lewis and a terrific supporting cast that includes Jill St. John, Ray Walston, John McGiver, Agnes Moorehead, Nancy Kulp and Kathleen Freeman. Frank Tashlin (1913-1972) began his career in animation at Disney in the 1930s and 40s (Google him). He brought along his skills as an artist to his vision as a director with terrific storyboard art such as this. It\'s impressive career as a writer / director includes such classic comedies as THE GLASS BOTTOM BOAT, THE DISORDERLY ORDERLY, IT\'S ONLY MONEY, CINDERFELLA, THE GEISHA BOY, WILL SUCCESS SPOIL ROCK HUNTER?, SUSAN SLEPT HERE, THE PALEFACE, THE LEMON DROP KID and THE FULLER BRUSH MAN.

The drawings are on 8.5\" X 11\" tracing paper with 2 binder ring holes on one side as in the photo. One drawing is of the Tuttle Department Store\'s pristine truck. The other depicts Dick Wessel as the much abused traffic cop who has built himself a little protection platform that actually saves him for the massive car pile / company truck pile up. Captions are in pencil. The paper is in nice condition with only little handling wear. This piece of original art / movie history would look terrific framed.

I purchased this at an entertainment memorabilia sale at Bonham\'s & Butterfields.

*Please note that my shipping time is up to 5 business days as I have multiple jobs and can only ship one day a week. If you happen to purchase after I return from the post office on shipping day it will be a full week wait until I am able to ship again. But most people will have a much shorter wait and some will have very fast shipping. No one will have to wait more than 5 business days. Thank you for understanding.
