An impressive set of this interesting and important series.

All are published by the Royal Historical Society under the heading of the \'CamdenFourth Series\'; the second series to be produced after the merger of the original Camden Society - \"a text publication society founded in London in 1838 to publish early historical and literary materials\" - with the Royal Historical Society,the foremost society in the United Kingdom for the promotion and defence ofthe scholarly study of the past.

CONDITION

In handsome cream bindings with black and gilt detailing to the spines. Externally, rather smart with minor shelfwear only and some occasional marks to boards. 23 out of 38 backstrips have either small library markings or evidence of their removal. Volume 40 has a small library label to the bottom of the front board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages uniformly bright and clean. Institutional marks to all volumes; typically a plate to front pastedown, stamps to front and rear free endpapers, title page, half title,contents page and text block edge.

Overall: VERY GOOD.
