Thought-provoking essays on the American south in the early 1960s with perhaps some emphasis on politics and the African-American. One of the scans lists each essay and author(s) of same.
I could not find another original hardcover edition listed on as of 9 June 2017.
Book is tight, clean and very near fine but with original owner\'s NEATLY INKED name on front pastedown endpaper.. Dust jacket is basically complete (one clipping from one flap - no text lost) with a bit of edgewear and a few not-too-bothersome splits; dj is good plus and quite fine print ... [sigh] ... but please read :-)
