1964 IDEAL THUMBELINA ADORABLE SNOOZIE WORKS ORIGINAL KNOB SLEEPER + SWEET DRESS

This 20 \"Snoozie was made in 1964 by Ideal after a successful run of Thumbelina dolls, she was made to open and close eyes and cry when wound up. She came in her original clothes but movement was sluggish and the cloth body was too lumpy. It was an easy fix to remove all the old lumpy foam that was getting caught up in the movement and add new filling. To stuff the body I made 4 little felt pillows stuffed with polyfill and put 2 at the shoulders and two at her bottom. This keeps it from being shifted around by the internal movement.The separately stitched legs were not affected so I did not replace that shreaded foam. The original cloth body and the casing for the knob and movement is in great condition. I tried her out and the body movement is strong , eyes open and close as turningbut her cryer is sparatic. (I guess she is happy) Note: There is a hole in each ear that the soft mewing sound come out.

Her 2 piece flannel outfit is what came on her and probally never removed but she has beautiful saran hair and green eyes just crying for a new fru-fru out fit so she was outfitted in a pink 3 tiered batiste baby dress and bloomers, the old vintage crocheted bootes have been repaired and I curled her top-knot and added a big bow. The thumbelina ID bracelet and baby bottle included also.

She is marked on her neck and knob IDEAL TOY CORP/YTT-19-E (on head) and the knob is Ideal Toy Corp. US Pat NO.3,029,552
