Minted from 1957 to 1967, this was the last silver peso to be produced by the Republic of Mexico. Jose Maria Morelos y Pavon, was a Roman Catholic priest and a famous warrior and revolutionary commander of MexicanForces in the revolution against Spain. He was captured by the Spanish authorities and executed for treason in 1815 at the age of 50. I am no coin expert but the coin is ingreat condition.
