This 1966 Chevrolet El Camino is one of those cars that brings a smile to everyone\'s face. A practical utility vehicle based on one of the most potent muscle cars of the era, complete with a numbers-matching big block and a four-speed. And now that you\'ve seen the price on this restored El Camino, you might not have enough time to finishing reading this before it\'s gone.
There was a serious investment in the El Camino, and you can tell it from the moment you see how straight the sheetmetal is. But it takes more than erasing any signs of a work life from this truck/coupe to having this kind of presence. During the restoration it was also given a professional application of Chevy\'s legendary Marina Blue, and thanks to modern clearcoats, it reveals an ocean\'s worth of depth when the sunshine hits it. Even the truck bed shines with a look-at-me quality. This transformation back to factory fresh would not be compete without the chrome and stainless trim being in immaculate condition on everything from the wide grille, to the hood gills, to the mirrored bumpers that make this pickup look like a Chevelle. And of course, no aggressive vintage Chevy would look complete without a set of bright Rally wheels.
The moment you open the door, you\'ll swear it\'s 1966, and that\'s for a very good reason. The complete restoration included switching the color to a more aggressive hue while still retaining the factory specs. The black vinyl bench has the kind of cushioning that feels like no one else ever sat here before. The wood-rimmed sports steering wheel feels great, and the original-style AM radio is even still humming out tunes. You do get an auxiliary gauge trio and a large tach. So overall, it has the kind of atmosphere that you know you\'ll love resting your right hand on the shifter and watching the needle rapidly climb on the extra wide speedometer.
The engine is the original, numbers-matching L35 396 cubic inch V8 that has been well-dressed for duty in the El Camino\'s engine bay. Satin black inner fenders are a great background for the Chevy Orange engine which is further dressed up with chrome valve covers and a chrome air cleaner with the correct decals. The big block inhales deeply through a Holley four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with authority with long-tube headers feeding the newer stainless dual exhaust. Best of all, you are in complete control of the sound and the fury of this big V8 thanks to the four-speed manual transmission. But when you\'re just cruising, this El Camino settles down into a pleasant tune... and the dual personality is exactly how you should view this coupe/pickup. After all power steering, Chevelle suspension, and front disc brakes make this a fine choice for easy cruising.

TERMS OF SALE

Vehicle may be sold by Streetside Classic Cars prior to the end of the sale. Streetside Classic Cars reserves the right to end its sales early or to cancel offers solely at its discretion and shall not be held liable for any such cancellation.
The winning buyer is required to contact Streetside Classic Cars within 24 hours after the close of the sale to finalize the details of the transaction.
A $500 Paypal deposit is required immediately upon selecting the Buy-It-Now option. The $500 Paypal deposit is non-refundable as ending an sale and not buying the vehicle is very damaging to the seller. Any refunds will be at the sole discretion of Streetside Classic Cars and are not guaranteed.
If winning buyer does not contact Streetside Classic Cars and submit deposit within 48 hours of sale close, vehicle may be made available to the next highest buyer or another qualified buyer on a first come, first serve basis.
For balance of payment we will accept bank wire transfer (preferred), cashier’s check, or personal check (vehicle shipment will be delayed until check clears).
Streetside Classic Cars has represented this vehicle to the best of its ability. Prospective buyers are encouraged to contact us directly to provide additional information or answer any questions.
Please be aware that all pre-owned vehicles, regardless of age, mileage, or manufacturer are subject to cosmetic wear and mechanical failure. Streetside Classic Cars encourages buyer to have a personal inspection completed prior to delivery to help ensure your satisfaction. Third party inspections are to take place prior to a vehicles shipment or delivery.

An additional documentation fee of $199 will be added to the purchase price at the time of sale.

If you decide to purchase from us, we require that you give us your complete name, address and phone numbers (home, office, mobile and fax) and a port of entry that handles containers. We do not ship vehicles open (RORO: Roll On Roll Off) due to risk of damage to vehicle and theft of parts. All international purchases must be paid by bank wire transfer in US Dollar funds only.

Once we have received the funds, we will prepare the car for international shipment through one of our approved land and ocean carriers. We file all the necessary documents for export, deliver the car to a US port, secure it in containers and board an ocean carrier. We can land a vehicle to any port worldwide handling container traffic. We export cars regularly and are familiar with export requirements. You, or your agent, are responsible for Custom clearing the vehicle and registration in your own country.
