This is an original press photo. Lyndon Johnson\'s Great Society is noted for medicare, poverty legislation and (hold onto your slippers!) the frug. To listen to some Republicans tell it, everybody (except the Republicans) is doing the frug and watusi at swinging Washington parties. Take Treasury Secretary Henry Fowler, for example. A man his age (57) should be counting the nation\'s copper centered quarters-not dancing the frug with Broadway star Carol Channing (upper). And Press Secretary Bill Moyers! How could a young Baptist minister disgrace himself so by doing the watusi (left) at the sedate Smithsonian Institution?Photo measures 8 x 10.25inches. Photo is dated 07-03-1966.
