ITEM: Original Art. A great daily from early in the strip by cartoonist and children\'s book author Howie Schneider. Starring Eek & Meek. Signed and dated for Thursday, September 16, 1971. These strips have a gorgeous period look to them.CONDITION: EXCELLENT Condition! Clipped very close top and bottom.

Howie Schneider (April 24, 1930 - June 28, 2007), was an award-winning cartoonist, sculptor and children\'s book author. His best-known work was Eek & Meek, which ran from 1965 to 2000 in over 400 papers.
Other strips of Schneider\'s included Percy\'s World and Bimbo\'s Circus (aka The Circus of P.T. Bimbo). His cartoons were published in The New Yorker, Playboy, Esquire, Redbook, McCall\'s and others.
Schneider served 20 years on the board of the Newspaper Features Council and eight years on the board of the National Cartoonists Society.
