This is a vintage HG August 1971 Schwinn Cotton Picker Krate bicycle in all original, barn find condition. This bike has been preserved as found, and is ready to ride and have fun with. This bike was originally sold by Lake Shore Cycle shop in Chicago, ILL as can be seen by the original decal on the seat tube. This krate bike is in very solid, rideable condition, and has a killer patina that only time can create. The red primer is rubbed through in places, but the white still has some shine to it after all these years. Everything looks to be original on this bike, and nothing new has been changed, added, or re-painted. The seat is in great original shape too with only one small split in it. This bike rides very smooth and well, and everything operates, rides, and shifts like it should. The rear slik and front tire are reproductions for ride ability. The only thing I can see wrong is there are 2 missing rear spokes, but that does not affect the bikes performance at all. I do not have the front fender, the front brake line tab, or the rear brake lever and cable. I have the rear brake caliper, and will be included with the bike. Please look carefully at all of the pictures, and remember, this bike is not one to be restored, but instead left in its as-is condition and enjoyed for its true originality.
