This sale is foraMattel1971 MALIBU KEN SURF\'S UP Giftset#1248-- Mint-In-Box.This hard-to-find SEARS Exclusive features Malibu Ken with exclusive accessories. Although this set LOOKS NRFB, the outfit pieces were carefully re-sewn to the liner, and the card & doll were professionally re-shrink wrapped. The box is in Amazing condition, one of the best I have seen on Vintage sets. There are NO SPLIT CORNERS, just slight age wear/scuffs. There is a crease in Ken\'s wrist tag. PLEASE ignore the shine that is on the cello in the photos- there are NO PAINT RUBS on Ken\'s hair-- its\' just a bad reflection of light. Even the JAPAN sticker is on the lower right corner of the green card! There is a tiny bit of melting on the upper left corner of the skim board. The pictures do not do this set justice, as it really looks great. Although it is not NRFB, it would look great on display next to your other Vintage boxed dolls . The doll was manufactured in Hong Kong, and the rest was made in Japan. This set is complete and all items are Original. This would be a great item to enter in Convention or Kenvention competition!
