Up for your purchase this evening is a very nice political pin, 1972 Richard Nixon for President 1 1/4\" Pinback Button Soviet Trade pictured with Soviet Premier Alexi Kosygin. Richard Nixon served eight years as Vice President under Dwight Eisenhower and then lost the 1960 Presidential race to John F. Kennedy. He then defeated Hubert Humphrey in the 1968 race and went on to win a second term over George McGovern in 1972. Nixon resigned from office in 1974 in the wake of the Watergate scandal.
