1973 OIL PAINTING on LEATHER sgnd DIAZ VTG MID CENTURY VILLAGE -MEXICAN FOLK ART:

vintage Folk Art painting on a thick rectangle of leather -- was told by the family this was purchased in the \'70s in Mexico, along with a matching piece (also being listed) -- wonderful Mid-Century/Modern styled view of a small rural village -- the design is incised into the surface and then painted with what appears to be a combination of oil paint and ink or stain -- this is signed by the artist, probably \'Diaz,\' and dated \'73 as well as having something like \'Norre Golinos\' (any additional information would be most appreciated) -- painting is mounted on burlap covered board in a period wood frame -- the painting measures 11 1/2 by 15 1/4 in. // the frame measures 16 3/4 by 20 1/2 in. --

-- nice condition overall - a little dusty/a little curl to the edge of the leather/light nicking to the frame ---- we are listing two other works by this artist -- Free Local pick-up is an option. Out-of-country buyers are welcome, but overseas shipping is more.
