This is a 1974 HarleyDavidson Y440 snowmobile with electric start in good condition. The VIN numberon the sled and engine match. The seat is in excellent condition though I don’tknow if it has been recovered. The odometer reads 699 miles but I don’t knowhow many miles are on it. I have had the hood painted and re-decaled. All ofthe chrome is in decent condition. The track is in good condition for its age.One of the headlights works if you wiggle the dimmer switch (it comes with anew switch). The taillight and brake light works. It has a new battery in itand the electric start works great. It comes with a new rubber strap to holdthe battery down but not the part that goes over it. The belt is good. The chainand sprockets are good. I changed the oil in the chain case and put a newgasket in it (comes with a spare gasket). The gas cap and tank vent are new(not OEM). It has a new throttle cable and comes with a spare. The engine runsvery well and has been overhauled with 2 new pistons, rings, all new gaskets, sealsand main bearings. It has one new connecting rod and bearing. It even has two OEMspark plugs. The carburetor has a new kit in it. I have the receipt from theshop that did the engine work. I even have an owner\'s manual.

This is a great sled but itdoes need some more work. I just don’t have the time or means to finish it. Iwas able to put a few miles on this sled this last winter but the primaryclutch failed. It has some damaged parts in it (see pictures). The taillightlens has a hole in the bottom. It needs the battery hold down strap. I have anew dimmer switch that needs to be installed. The paint is starting to peel.The windshield has a crack in it. I drilled a small hole to keep the crack fromgetting worse and put a new chrome strip around the windshield. The handle barsare a little loose and won’t seem to tighten up. The plastic on the bottom ofthe sled has some damage. I don’t know if all of the bogie wheels are good andif the bearing on the track drive and tail shaft are all good. The air box hasholes drilled in it and probably doesn’t hurt anything but I taped them upanyway.

I had this registered lastyear and I have the tags for it. Washingtonstate does not title snowmobiles so it will come with the registration and billof sale. All of the paperwork is in order and won’t be a problem.
