Travel back in time with this vintage Signet acoustic guitar. According to the 2014 Vintage Guitar Price Guide, Signet/Selmer only made guitars from 1972 through the mid-1970s. At that time, Ampeg owned Selmer. This one is either auditorium or dreadnought sized, with a lower bout of about 15-1/8\" and a long scale length of about 25-3/8\". It is well constructed, scalloped bracing and cross bracing on the top. The tuners are chrome covered. It has attractive double binding around the top edge and 14 frets clear of the body. There are some notable cosmetic mars: a chip out of either side of the head stock (see photos), much buckle rash on the back, the pick guard is very scuffed, the low frets have wear but much life left, the bridge has been reglued but is stable, there is some glue around the bridge. But (!) this guitar sounds really nice. Believe me. It was bought new in 1974 outside of Lima, Ohio. I bought it from the original owner\'s daughter. There aren\'t very many of these old Signet by Selmer guitars. This one just has a lovely resonant sound to it. Comes with a black chipboard guitar case. Questions?
