1975 Signed Photo~us Senator Howard Metzenbaum-~ohio+two Letters-contribution For Sale
This 8" by 10" black and white signed photograph pictures United States Senator HOWARD METZENBAUM. Howard Morton Metzenbaum (1917-2008) was an American politician who served for almost 20 years as a Democratic member of the United States Senate from Ohio (1974, 1976-1995). He also served in the Ohio House of Representatives and Senate from 1943 to 1951. Included with this photograph is an August 28, 1975 letter on the letterhead stationery of the law firm sent to the original collector, acknowledging the autographed photo. Also included is an undated letter on the private stationery of Senator Metzenbaum, addressed to the same collector, thanking him for his contribution to his re-election campaign, and noting that it is "the toughest battle I have ever fought." The vintage photo and letters, showing light wear from age and storage, will make an interesting addition to any collection.
