Beautiful white bone china coffee can / mug from Aynsley England commemorates the marriage of Charles, Prince of Wales, to Lady Diana Spencer. Who didn\'t love Lady Di? She became known as the \"Princess of Hearts.\" The front of the mug bears a large, highly detailed coat of arms of the Prince of Wales, which is a variant of the Queen\'s coat of arms. Inside the mug reads, \"TO COMMEMORATE THE MARRIAGE OF HR.H THE 21st PRINCE OF WALES TO LADY DIANA SPENCER\" in a gilt ribbon, just below the rim.
Measurements: 3-5/16\" tall, 3-3/8\" diameter at the rim, 2-7/8\" diameter at the base, 4-1/28\" across rim to handle outer edge.
Bears a blue Aynsley factory stamp on the bottom, and a blue and gold foil Aynsley label on the side of the mug, near the handle. There are molding marks on the bottom, like the wet clay was slid across a surface before firing.
