Based on the story of the 47 Ronin, this is a 2 player strategy game in which black is the attacker and white the defender. Black wins by defeating the piece secretly marked Lord Kira and taking their revenge, and white wins by defeating all the black warriors or moving Kira off the board. The wooden shoji screens move each turn changing the battlefield and strategies.
