1986, The Empress,Alexandria, Czarina of all Russia, created by the House of Igor Carl Fabergefor the Franklin Heirloom Doll Collection.This is the only doll created that bears his name. The House of Igor Carl Faberge was founded bythe grandson of the official jeweler to the czar and czarinas. He carried onthe inspired tradition of extraordinary craftsmanship and design associatedwith the Faberge name for more than 100 years.

Standing approximately22” tall, The Empress is beautifully hand painted and crafted and is a fullyjointed doll allowing all her joints to swivel.Alexandria wears a magnificent midnight blue crushed velvet gown adornedwith a gold braid and lined at the bottom with silver grey fox. The white satin bodice of her gown isembellished with tiny beaded buttons that are 24k electroplated on sterlingsilver. Note: Some of the gold plated adornments arebeginning to show their age. She has abeautiful golden crown atop her head that has cultured pearls and royal bluegemstones. Note: There is one missing gemstone clearly seen inthe pictures. Her choker is also adorned with gold beads and cultured pearlsover a lace braid and she is wearing cultured pearl bracelets on both wrists. Shealso waves a beautiful white and gold fan.

A blue velvet box isincluded that stores The Empress’ crown and broach. Note:broach has been lost and is not included. A doll stand for displaying Alexandria isalso included and she comes in her original Franklin Heirloom Box but it doeshave some yellowing from age.

Note: This doll actually has some damage to herleft foot. It looks like it was brokenthen glued back together. See pic.
