This MONTBLANC fountain pen is from the 1980\'s. Have the paper work that will come with this. Paid $250.00 November 18, 1986. #149. This is STAMPED 14k 585, etched Germany around top of cap, etched Montblanc Meisterstuck no. 149 around bottom of cap. This is sold AS IS.It was not mine it was from a family estate. I do not know much about Fountain Pens and how they work but what you see is what you get. In original case that needs a little cleaning up just a little, dirty from age and sitting. This has been sitting for many years and could use a cleaning up I am sure of. But just to look at it ...this looks pretty darn nice!! Not sure how much it has been used. On Jan-24-18 at 07:50:08 PST, seller added the following information:I was asked to unscrew the top cap and view through the barrel window to see if I can see a piston moving up and down. I did this a couple of times. I do not see the piston moving, however the cap moves nice and freely and comes to a stop to open and a stop to close. I just wonder because this pen does have residue inside the barrel could that make the piston not move? It may even be moving and I just don\'t see it.
I state again I do not know much about these pens this is one thing I do not know. If it just needs a good cleaning from sitting or can the piston be replaced? I am not sure of these answers. AGAIN this is sold as is.
I don\'t know anything about this pen. Someone asked me about a rod in the middle. This is suppose to have a rod I can see in the middle of the chamber? I do not see a rod. I have no idea how these work. I know that I really do not want to try and fill it or test it or use it because from what I hear if you do not now how they work you can ruin them or break them. I do not want to be that person. That is why it is sold AS IS. Thank you for your information. I am posting this info for all to read.
