Here\'s the1989 Pete Fountain\'s Half-Fast Walking Club Red on Blue DualAluminum 10g High ReliefDoubloon. The doubloonmeasures 39mm or 1 1/2\" in diameter andisinExcellentCondition. Payment due within 48 hours of purchase.Note: The obverse features the Pete Fountain Logo. The reverse features a Samurai Warrior and reads \"SAMURAI WARRIORS...THIS IS YOUR DAY...1989.\" Pete Fountain\'s Walking Club is a New Orleans Walking Club which participates in the annual New Orleans Walking Club parade on Mardi Gras Day, the St. Patrick\'s Day Parade and other parades during the year. The Group was founded in 1961 and the reverse design on their doubloons shows how the Group Members were costumed on the year of issue as they paid tribute to Various Ethnic Groups or Famous Individuals each year. This doubloon was struck on a very thick 10g (10 gauge) aluminum planchette in High Relief then anodized and enameled in two colors, enhancing the Design Detail and Beauty of this doubloon.
