1993 ALASKA FUR RENDEZVOUS COLLECTIBLE PIN Enameled Bull Moose HeadBeautiful enameled 1993 Fur Rendezvous collectible pin celebrating the annual Alaskan Fur Rondy, our state’s major sporting event, Alaska’s biggest celebration. The pin is in excellent condition with one tiny, tiny gold spot on the left side in the blue rim, which might be a manufacturing error. The Fur Rondy is eagerly awaited by everyone in Alaska and is celebrated with parades, dog sled races (much more fun than any ball game!), exhibitions, events, and winter fun for everyone. Part of the fun is the annual Rondy Pin, anticipated all year by avid collectors. The 1993 pin is round, 1 ¾ inches in diameter, and on a straight bar pin with C-clasp lock. The back is decorated with alternating squares of cross-hatching. The pin is incredibly detailed with fine cloisonné work, of an Alaskan bull moose in all his annual glory with full multi-point antlers. The moose’s rack and details are highlighted in gold enamel work. The banner running around the rim reads, “1993 Fur Rendezvous,” on one side and “Anchorage, Alaska” across the bottom.This 23-year old piece of Alaskan history will be carefully packed and mailed First Class or First Class International with no charge for packing.
