1998 Coin-op Fortune Teller Arcade Machine By Bay Tek Games 100% Working For Sale
1998
“THE FORTUNE TELLER” by Bay Tek
Games, Inc. in excellent, 100% working condition. Coin operated. Currently set
to operate on one quarter (adjustable through dipswitch settings). Upon
inserting a quarter, play light comes on, the fortune teller moves her head and
left arm up and down, the “crystal ball” changes colors and she speaks for
about 1 minute ending up telling you your lucky color, flashing that color in
the “crystal ball”, and dispensing a fortune card through the front door. Machine
has been home use only for the past 10 years or so. Play meter shows 35,870
plays.
Overall
she is in excellent condition and works perfectly. A brand new card dispenser
has been installed within the past year (the old card dispenser is included for
spare parts), and the logic unit was replaced with a new one in 2003. The
cabinet does have some scratches, scrapes, and dings, the worst areas being on
the lower left side, and the front right edge. There are also holes
in the front and left side of cabinet where there were clasps and locks
installed at one time. There are some light scratches and marks in the clear
plastic “windows” surrounding the fortune teller, including a couple of small
red marks in front of the “crystal ball”. The cabinet appears to be made of
pressboard/particle board overlaid with a veneer. Cabinet is nice and solid and
there are no unusual odors like smoke or mustiness. This is a very nice, clean,
fully working machine that is ready for your home game room or to be placed on
location.
Operational
parameters are adjustable through dipswitch settings. These include an attract
mode, self-test at start-up, shortened fortune message, and number of coins
required.
Included
are two 25 cent coin mechanisms installed in the front door, locking metal coin
box with 2 keys and a removable plastic tray, spare light bulbs, several
hundred fortune cards, instruction manual, 1 key for the front door, and the
old card dispenser.
Item
measures approximately 21½” deep x 25½” wide x 69” tall and weighs about 200
lbs. Operates on 110 volts. She speaks English only. The plastic sliders under
the base were used to position cabinet for the photos and are not attached or
part of the cabinet and are not included in the sale (unless you need them).
The photos in the listing are very recent unedited photos of the actual Fortune
Teller you are offerding on. Note that Bay
Tek Games, Inc. is still in business, and they do sell spare parts and fortune
cards for “The Fortune Teller”.
Because of the size, weight and nature of
this item, I strongly recommend local pick-up (I can help with plastic wrap and
loading into a vehicle). I am not a dealer, this item is from my personal
collection and as such, is being sold “AS IS” with no warranty. If the winning buyer picks up the item in person, he or she
will of course be able to examine and operate “The Fortune Teller”, and verify
that it has been described and listed accurately.
I will allow pick-up by a moving type company
like NAVL, but the buyer must make all arrangements, and pay forany and all
costs associated with pick up by a third party. If buyer desires, I can prepare
item for pick-up by a shipper by wrapping with plastic wrap, covering plastic
windows with Masonite, protecting edges with cardboard, rewrapping everything with plastic wrap, and placing extras in a
box and securing the box inside the cabinet for $25.00. Machine is on the first
floor of a residence (3 steps on porch to enter first floor). Sorry, but I do
not have the ability to crate this machine or strap it to a pallet.
Buyer must contact me WITHIN 48 HOURS of end
of sale to discuss payment and pick-up arrangements. Item must be paid for
and picked up WITHIN 2 WEEKS of end of sale. Thank you and do not hesitate
to ask if you have any questions!
