Offering for sale: This very rare and hard to find early celluloid corkscrew with a soldier and a woman face to face. I have seen mermaids and pairs of legs but never this one. There is wear and a few small breaks all pictured to see... In researching this unique piece led me to discover that it was produced in the 19th century. They were made in 3 celluloid versions. Ivory, Brown, and Ivory w/ silver paint. Each one features fine details of the figurine, right down to the buttons on his uniform and the lady holding her dress. Measures 6 inches long opened and 3 inches closed. The corkscrew itself is rusty and I put a little oil on it . Other than that I haven\'t cleaned it and will leave that to the Lucky New Owner.....
