19C French Old Paris Porcelain HP Gilt Sauce Tureen-Attached Underplate #2:

Beautiful 19th Century Old Paris Sauce Tureen with attached underplate - decorated with hand painted band of white flowers on a Nude/Buff/Peach ground & gold accenting. The lid has a shell medallion finial. The sauce tureen is part of a larger set of Old Paris Porcelain, which I believe was assembled over time - which was very common as not everyone could afford to purchase a complete service all at once, not to mention, the pieces were made to order & often took time to complete. The hand painted flower styling (as well as the porcelain molds) are consistent throughout making it obvious that the pieces were part of the same set but there is a shading difference in the ground color (peach nude buff) & flower shading & sizes - see photos. As with most antique, 19th century Old Paris Porcelain they are unmarked. The tureen displays wonderfully - There is wear to the gold gild accenting. 5 1/2\" tall with lid, 3\" tall without the lid, 4\" x 6\" opening, 7 3/4\" x 5 1/2\" under- plate.
