This is not in my domain of expertise, meaning that I\'m not sure about the technique used, and not sure if it\'s French European or American, so please examine pics carefully as they are essential part of description.
A very detailed and interesting hunting scene that appeared to have woven (?) technique but also large needlepoint technique, over an antique jute type of background fabric.
There are large disproportional birds flying and sitting between the trees.
Two hunters riding a horse, one is playing a wind instrument to signal the hunt.
Three trees loaded with fruits.
There are are round metal hooks on one edge rim as photographed in last pic with the purpose of hanging the tapestry.
CONDITION
3\" area tear is shown in pic 8 pointed by a sharpie
3\" area tear right over the tree shown in pic 8 pointed by a sharpie
Upper right corner edge has an 8\" teared area ( shown in pic 9 but the photo should be rotating to the left)
Bottom center edge has \"minor\" 6\" frayed ( pic 6 )
Left side tree bottom has 6 tears and frayed area. The largest is 5\", all others frayed parts range from 1\" to 2\" . Pic 10 shows the areas concerned pointed by various sharpies.
Halo spots areas are also presents, but can\'t be really seen due to the earthy color of the fabrics.
Otherwise great with lovely vibrant earthy colors.
