Offered is a wonderful, hand painted miniature plaque depicting Hortense de Beauharnais Bonaparte - the daughter of Napoleons wife Josephine. The plaque is most likely French and is signed by the artist - Dietrich. The gilt wood carved frame is Italian. Plaque dates to the 19th century, while the frame is a later addition. Plaque measures 3.5\" tall x 2.75\" wide. Frame is 8.55\" tall x 6.5\" wide. Piece is in great condition, as is the frame! Plaque has never been offered on the market and on for the first time!
