Late19th Early 20th Century Japanese Porcelain Tea Set White & Blue (miniature?):
$39.95

Up for sale is an early twentieth century Japanese porcelain tea set; white with blue decoration (figures). There are 16 (18 if you separate out the lids of the sugar bowl and the teapot) pieces in all: 5 larger saucers, 5 smaller saucers, three tea cups, a tea pot with lid, a creamer and a sugar bowl with lid. The defects are: two of the saucers have been broken in half and repaired, 1 saucer has a chip on the edge and the sugar bowl is missing one of its handles (please see photos). The rest of the set is fine. Please look at the photos carefully as I have tried to record faithfully the bad and the good. They appear to me to be miniatures or a child\'s set but perhaps they are standard for the type. The cups are an inch and a half tall and about three inches in diameter. The saucers are just over four inches in diameter. The pieces appear from their irregularity of shape to be hand made and are hallmarked although I cannot translate the calligraphy. Perhaps Kameyama? The figures in the decoration appear to be Dutch like. They are also of incredible delicacy appearing at times (to me anyway) almost translucent in places. They may have been made for export.Ships to continental US only. Shipping can be upgraded at buyer\'s request (and expense).
Paypal only please.Returns subject to original posting condition.
Thank You.
