Description:

Presenting this 19th primitive American still life folk art painting of cornucopia basket spilling fruit- grapes, pineapple etc.. Signed lower right possibly J. M. Collins. Painting measures approx. 22 by 28 inches. Unframed. On old original 19th century stretcher (see photos of construction). Surface soiling. Cleaning would bring out stronger, brighter colors, I think. One tear approx. long. Surface crazing. One tera approx. 2-1/4 inches long just below basket. Several phoots have reflections.
