Description:This is a19th C.Qing (Ching) Dynasty, Chinese, silk, embroidered, partial, fine pleat, apronskirt. Characteristics include a silk brocade woven background in a light bluehue; The center panel has an exquisitelyembroidered lotus and butterfly motif, accented with flora designs, allrendered in silk satin embroidery with decorative stitches; The elegant pleatsare adorned with a lotus and butterfly motif rendered in silk satin stitch;There are two types of decorative edging: a silk satin edging with a lotus andflora motif and plain black silk edging; The skirt topper is a natural-huecotton; No lining is present. Please note, this partial skirt shows signs ofwear commensurate with age including staining throughout, loose stitchingacross the pleats, and light soiling.
