ANTIQUE INLAID CASE TIME AND STRIKE MANTEL CLOCK
Wonderful 19thC inlaid wood case clock with the porcelain dial signed Heitzmann & Sons over Cardiff (most likely the retailer). The movement is stamped with the Richard Et Cie (R and C with a snake motiff in between) all enclosed in an oval. It is also stamped Fabrique de Paris all enclosed in an oval as well. The clock has a cathedral gong is in good shape with original inlaid case finish and presently running and keeping time.
Origin: Paris, France
Age: Late 19th C
Condition: In very good antique condition with the case showing light traces of wear from use and age with the glass over dial gone, and the back plate is tarnished. The movement winds sets and is presently running (timed in an 12 hr check it ran a couple minutes fast, most likely just a pendulum adjustment needed to correct the faster time)? It is being sold as is as we have no idea when it was last serviced. Key and pendulum provided
