~ Antique Shaker Leather Sewing Roll Up Needle Case w/ Pouch ~ AAFA

This is a gorgeous Victorian deep cocoa-colored leather sewing roll-up

lined in a vibrant cranberry colored silk,

and edged with a cocoa colored silk binding trim.

The case has a bottom roll for thread and an interior bag/pouch.

The interior pouch has 2 layers of wool for holding needles,

edged with hand embroidered cranberry colored thread.

Case includes a pair of Rodgers & Sons scissors (possibly a later addition),

2 bone hole punchers, 2 Robert J. Robert needle books, and 7 spools of thread.

It measures 8-1/2\" inches in length when open and 5-1/2 inches wide.

Circa: 1880

Condition:

VERY GOOD

Wear appropriate to age and use, with blemishes to exterior leather.

One corner of exterior leather has more surface loss.

Binding trim overall in good condition with no deterioration to edges.

Sewing kit silk \"tie\" is missing.

Interior wool has no holes.

Please look at photos closely before purchasing.

No repairs or alterations.
