19th Century 1/9 Plate Tintype Cased Photograph X 3 Mother Father and Son 1860:

A sweet grouping of Victorian, circa 1860 tintype photographic images inthe 1/9th scale. All three have gently tinted details to the either theircheeks or the lady\'s green ribbon. These small size beauties are housed eachwith their original gilded metal mat and behind old glass. The gilt metal innerframe is also beautifully embossed on each.
The two single frames depict a father and son as both have matchingframes/ mounts and both were obviously taken in the same studio setting, eachsat upon the same chair, next to the same occasional table. The cased exampleof the lady was purchased as part of this grouping and so we assume was part ofthe same family. She wears a pretty tartan or plaid dress with undersleeves,matching cuff bracelets and a ribboned bonnet. All of these details againpointing to the 1850-60 period in fashion.
Size: The three frames measure near enough the same just under 3\"(7.5 cm) by 2.5\" (6.5 cm).
Condition is very good. There is some minor surface wear to all of theframes, we have not cleaned or waxed them. The cased lady has retained heroriginal closure; the father and son have retained their metal hangers. Thephotographic images are in good order, just very minor aging to the top of thefather and son at 11 and 1 o\'clock.
This is a super grouping for your display. They would work well withminiature watercolors, silhouettes or folk art.
