19th Century Dutch Cut Crystal Perfume Bottle Hinged Silverplate Top with Stopper Leather Case
Very rare to find a complete set like this with all the parts. This dutch perfume bottle and leather case dates in the range of 1850-1900. The silverplated hinged top has a Lorraine double cross design on top. There is also a tiny cut crystal stopper. Very sharp cut crystal with squares, rectangles, cross hatches and rays on each corner. There are no chips to the body of the cut crystal bottle . The rim where stopper fits is rough but I think that it is original to production technique. The tooled leather case lined with red velvet, was made for the perfume bottle and fits perfectly. There is some warping to the case but it still latches closed (SEE pictures). The hinge and latch on case are in good working order. The bottle is 3 1/2\" tall x 1 1/4\" Wide. The case is 4\" tall x 1 3/4\" wide. A scarce top shelf addition for any collection.
