Superb antique Japanese Metal Art, Crane and turtle, Shokudai. This statue symolizes the battle between the spiritual and the physical that takes place on the Earth, Yin and Yang. The turtle symbolizes the Earth. It is mounted to a piece of beautiful red and brown marble as seen in photos. Great detail! It is in very good condition throughout. No cracks or chips on the sculpture. Some scratching to the marble on the bottom. Some very very small chips on the edges of the marble. No cracks that I can see on the marble. It is in its original condition. Measures approx. 7\" tall. Base measures approx. 5\" x 3-1/2\". Please view all photos as they are part of the description.
