An antique 19th century sailors wool work or Woolie, the whole depicting a charming marine scene of an English frigate at full sail within a Flag decorated border, most probably showing the countries the sailor has visited on the voyage, it comes in a maple wooden frame, the wool work measures approx 42cm x 51cm, the outside of the frame is approx 49.5cm x 57cm. Acceptable condition for its age, some minor losses and fraying, and some slight fading to the colours, nothing too serious though, please see photos.
