• Text clean with moderate even toning. Henry Lansdell (1841-1919) D.D., MRAS, FRGS was a missionary, traveler and author who wrote several books on Central Asia. This narrative is of journeys undertaken in 1882 to distribute religious tracts. He also undertook botanical, zoological and antiquarian activities.
Russian authorities arrested Lansdell while on his travels, for distributing “revolutionary” pamphlets.
