Evelyn Lincoln was the extremely loyal, extremely efficient personal secretary of President John Kennedy.This book gives an insight into JFK’s life with his family and also his political life. It’s a story of a secretary and her boss. This book is not a textbook, but due to its contents it’s been used and referenced in many research areas.
Evelyn signed and inscribed a sentimental message to my grandmother whom they were friends.Evelyn Lincoln [1909-1995].My mother worked as the office manager of a major patent law firm at the Washington, DC office, New York City based, from 1940-1985. Also, my mother served as a charter member of the National Secretaries Association from 1946-1965 and she also served under the Presidential Chapter.
Lincoln was in the motorcade in Dallas when John F. Kennedy was assassinated. Every year on the anniversary of the assassination she would go to the Arlington National Cemetery and place three long-stemmed red roses on Kennedy\'s grave.
This book is from our family collection. I would say this book is between very good and good condition.Outside red binding is very nice with minute flaws.Pages have been read and normal print ink stain on page ends (shown in my pictures).Inside pages look very good with some staining on the first inside page where author’s inscription is located.The rest of the pages 371 are not stained but have natural coloring due to age of book.
