Authentic primitive Americanahand-carvedwooden bust of Abraham Lincoln dating circa 1865-1870.

Bust likely sculpted fromJeffrey Pineby a fervent Lincoln supporter during the civil war.Lincoln is wearing a jacket, lapels showing, collar of shirt well defined, no cravat.

Measures 5 7/8\" high with a 3 3/4\" base, foreheadcircumference at3 1/4, weighs approx. 6 oz, very good condition, minor cracks due to age, nose somewhat planed with wear, contemporary paint remains, a unique piece of American Folk Art.

Provenance: Aurora, California/Nevada (Aurora was governed by both California and Nevada, having been subject to border disputes that erupted in the 1860\'s when gold was discovered at the western border of theTerritory of Nevada).
