2 vintage 20\" X 16\" lithographs suitable for framing with vivid color featuring rich Roman Catholic imagery - one is an iconic print in excellent condition - The Guardian Angel - featuring the subject watching over two little ones picking flowers on the edge of a cliff. This print when framed is a favorite in children\'s bedrooms everywhere. The other is an Italian litho called The Holy Grave of Mary. This rare framed Victorian print shows a religious scene of the haloed Virgin Mary in repose in a cave (Ephesus?) attended by 2 angels, overseen by 4 cherubs, in front of an altar displaying beautiful candelabras and a glowing vase of sacred lilies. Clutching a cross to her heart, Mother Mary is draped in a blue cloak of stars. The print is loaded with vintage Christian iconography: incense censers, a crown, a holy book, rosary and discarded blue ribbon. This print is far and away the rarer of the two and does have some condition issues: An upper right corner is missing and a few edge tears as shown. Still displays nicely - both for one offer and .
