Up for offer is a rare genuine Hydrothermal Bixbite gem. Hydrothermal Bixbite is laboratory grown but has the same chemical and physical properties as natural, from the earth, bixbite, but at a fraction of the cost. This hydrothermal Bixbite gem is fine quality, with good reddish pink color! This cushion cut gem measures approx. 10.1mm X 8.2mm and weighs approx. 2.86cts. Great color! If this was natural bixbite, it would cost cost thousands per carat!! An interesting addition to a gem & mineral collection, but very suitable for use in jewelry!
