Set of two cat figurines \"Sitting\" made of fine Rosenthal China in Germany. The larger cat is 13 inches tall. On the bottom of this figurine, is the number 5133, smaller 22 and D. Rucker. Its tail wraps from the left side to the right The smaller cat is 7 inches tall. On the bottom is the number 5193, smaller 22 and DR. Its tail wraps from the right side to the left.
There is something small making a noise inside each piece when you gently shake them. This appears to be normal for these types of vintage porcelain figures. We do not see any problemswith these items. Cats displays very well. This porcelain is thick and heavy.

Cat figurines made by Rosenthal China, Selb, Bavaria, Germany. It is actually called‘Cat Sitting’. Acknowledged German sculptress Doris Rücker (1909 – 1962) designed these cats in 1958 in the series of her modern art style cats. She workedfor Rosenthal in 1959 – 1961 and designed several figurines for Kunstabteilung factory. Figurine on this sale features adorable and funny animal. It ismade in very controversial modern art style. This is a bisque figurine. It is all white. This is not blank white; there is a grayish tone in it. Genuine textureof porcelain beautifully resembles cat’s body. Looks splendid.
