Here are 2vintage cotton material feedsacks that have been opened up.You can clearly see the holes from the removed stitched seams. Tight weave. Bold checker board with flower patterns. Colors: blue & white and red & white.
The red feedsack measures approx. 37\" x46\" opened up and weighs almost 5 oz.The blue feedsack measures approx. 37\" x 42\" opened up and weighs almost 5 oz.
There is significant age tanning / stainingto the red sack. I have not washed or ironed this material.No smoke or musty odor.Blue sack: this fabric is a little stiffer than the red. Light aging along some fold lines and edges. Has a 1\" light gray line about 12 rows in from an edge. May be some minor aging, spots here and there.
Red sack: Light aging along some folds and edges overall, and there is more brown aging / staining along both of the selvage edges (goes down over about 8 - 10rows in some areas). There are several more brown spots here and there.I tried to point out the defects I found, however it\'s possible I overlooked some other defect. I show examples of some stains.
