This sale is for two completely unknown objects. They are tiny: measuring just 1.6cm x 0.7cm. I don\'t know if they are vinaigrettes? they have a sponge inside each one but no grill on the top. Maybe they were for fobs?They each have a shield or coat of arms. Each are delicately and perfectly made and the hinges work perfectly. They snap shut just right.They have two hoops on the top for attaching to something. As you can see in the photos, one is more scratched on its shield than the other. I don\'t know if this can be delicately buffed out.I don\'t know if they are silver or not. I can only assume not for rules but they are so well made you never know! seems odd to make some thing that nice out of steel or tin or whatever. Sadly apart from the shields there are no other marks.They were in amongst a job lot of watches I bought a long time ago so might be a watch part box? Maybe the sponge is an old form of silica gel for keeping very small parts dry? Anyhoo. I\'ll let you decide. They are a lovely quirky item that I think will keep you guessing at their use for a long time!Sorry about the international prices but I won\'t send anything abroad now without it being signed for.
