French 20\" Bébé BRU Jeune, a antique reproduction by Marianne DeNunez, marked with the artist name & BRU Jne, and 1963 year.

A sweet 20\" antique Bru Jeune reproduction with dark soulful glass paper weight eyes; artist captures the essence of a child like girl, made of press bisque and Chervot\'s hinged leather body style; swivel head tilts and sits on a bisque shoulder plate; leather hinged body designed after Henri Chervot (1883-1889) era/model with bisque hinged arms, lovely hands, and shapely hinged bisque legs;open/close mouthwith a hint of tongue, good facial paint - eye lashes, brows etc., accented nostrils and lips; well formed chin w/ dimple and pretty shaped mouth; sealed cord boardpate, human hair wig (reddish-brown); pierced ears with old earrings; she is outfitted invintage/machine made appropriate clothing - beautiful detailed dress is deep plum color in a printed satin/taffeta, lace trim, velvet collar and rear lower sash,dress is labeled with dress marker\'s name, and fancy matchinghat (ostrich feathers & bows); other clothing cosist of :machine/hand sewn undergarments: chemise & pantaloons, and layered half slip (see pics), knee length stocking and vintage French shoes w/ buckle made of thin black patent type/ inside netting lining; and heart shape pennant at dress front.

Minimal age wear; no damage or repairs; sealed cord-board head pate; when checked no visible hairline(s) or crack damage found; leather is soft/ supple and firmly stuffed, no leakage; heavy solid weighted; vintage shoes/ each shoe show several repairs;some old glue residue left near rear head and ears left from pate and wig;any cleaning is left up to new owner, but she is lovely and ready to display as is.No doll stand is included. Free of anyodor and will come from a non-smoking Environment-overall well maintained.
