20 year Veteran Active Service Pin FDNY Fire Dept 14k Gold 1918 @SEE BELOW@. - This pin is 1.125 troy oz of solid 14k gold. It was presented by Engine Co. 86 to Captain James P. Hayes on Jan 18, 1918 for 20 years of active service. Records show that James P. Hayes was appointed to the FDNY Engine Company 10 in February 1898. During his lengthy career he also served with Engine Company 21 in October of 1918.
