\"BetsyMcCall Makes A Wish\" outfit for 8\" doll. New. This outfit includes a pretty pink floral dress with white lacy collar and pink sash, pink gloves, pink shoes and white socks and white panties. There is a sweet little birthday cake accessory. This outfit has neverbeen removed from the box, isin excellent condition having been stored ina smoke free, climate controlled home.The box is in excellent condition.
At the 2000 Betsy McCallConvention Robert Tonner introduced his version of the Tiny Betsy McCall thatwon the hearts of little girls in the 1950\'s, first as paper dolls and then asa sweet 8\" doll. For the 2001 releases there were eight dolls and 3outfits. Five of the dolls were done in a limited release of 2000. The dollswere created from the Original Betsy Mold, fully jointed with bendable knees,open/close eyes, in hard plastic. I had the opportunity to speak with RobertTonner at an FAOSchwartz doll signing. I asked him why the eyes were abit different. He said theoriginaleyeswere no longer beingproduced so he had to slightly modify the eyes toaccommodatewhatcould be manufactured in today\'s market. If you go to Mr. Tonner\'s web site,you can see the original catalog from 2001 which shows all these first dolls. All are New and Never Removed Fromthe Box. The others I am listing separately are:
