This is an uncut corner block of four of one of the most significant and striking error stamps to be found in Canada in recent years. 2007 Canada Post Year of the Pig Lunar Stamps are all supposed to feature a stylized prancing pig defined with a silver outline and decorated with flowers embossed in gold. However, a small number of these stamps have been found missing the gold and silver embossing. Only a few hundred of these stamps are believed to exist, making this a significant modern rarity.An article in the Toronto Star (February 15, 2007) describes this error stamp and indicates selling prices of about $725 per stamp.
