This was a single moderator with no panelists. This was a 90-minute debate with candidates standing at podiums. Candidates questioned in turn with two-minute responses, followed by five minutes of open discussion between moderator and candidates for each question.

The Second Debate was between Sen. Barack Obama (D) and Sen. John McCain (R). The sponsor of the Debate was The Commission on Presidential Debates and was held at Belmont University in Nashville, TN on October 7, 2008. The Moderator was Tom Brokaw, NBC News.
