I\'m listing this bike for my friend\'s father. The bike has never been tipped, scuffed, or scratched and is flat out gorgeous. VIN available upon request.
The bike was purchased new, by him, in May of 2012 at Baer\'s Harley Davidson in Honesdale, PA.The bike is a 2012 Harley Davidson FLTRU Road Glide Ultra in black with factory scallops andpin striping. I\'ve had anumber of Harley\'s of my own, to include an Ultra Classic.There are a fewthings that make the Road Glide\'sandUltra tourer...pun intended.
The biggest advantage I notice with the Road Glide\'s is the frame mounted fairing that helps reduce fatigue during longer trips. TheFI 103 Twin Cam comes with plenty ofoomph when paired withthe six speed. You reallydon\'t notice how great that extra gear is until you\'re riding an older evo springer withthe five speed and you run out of legs. It really is ridiculous how easy it is to maneuver these bikes. The touring bikes are over engineered from the frame upto make your trip about the ride, not about getting off every hour to stretch your back.
These bikes are all about comfort and this one is no exception. Harman Kardon CD/MP3 stereo with Aux, security system, heated grips, accessory expansion plugs ins,tank bra, KingTour pack with LED lights, cruise control,saddle bag guards, vented lowers, engine temp management, Anti Lock Brembo brakes...it blows my mind that they put Brembos on these bikes, but they aim to make it stop as well as it goes....the list goes on and on.
The bike has 19,000 miles and has beenmeticulously maintained. The rear tire waschanged at 16K miles and it comes with two windscreens.One is a Harley Lane splitter that\'s clear and the other is a KlockWerks dark smoke flare.
The buyer will also receive a full oil service kit with filter and gasket for the 20K change.
KBB is around 17K bone stock and this one comes with quite a few dealer installed extras, so offer accordingly.
